FAQ

What is Kichikae?

Kichikae is a movement and sensory-based body practice that helps release physical discomfort and stored tension.

This method has been used by:

  • National team athletes (boxing, fencing, badminton, volleyball, cycling)
  • Office workers with chronic pain
  • People looking for better recovery, focus, and emotional balance

You don’t need to be flexible, fit, or experienced to begin.

Is it spiritual or religious?

No. Kichikae is not spiritual or religious and does not use energy systems, chakras, or beliefs. It works directly with physical sensation and the nervous system.

Where should I start?

If you’re new, start with Basics Intro (50 minutes). It’s a trial class designed to help you experience Kichikae and decide your next step.

Why should I learn?

It’s a simple set of sensory-based moves used by everyday clients and athletes. Learn tools you can use anytime to support posture, discomfort, body control, and mobility.

Is it hard to learn?

Not at all. If you can follow simple sensory cues, you can do Kichikae. We’ll guide you step by step.

Can I practice on my own later?

Yes. After each session, you’ll get a simple take-home practice so you can make it your own.

What’s the curriculum?

Basics → Master Level 1 → Master Level 2 (and beyond).

Basics is a great start for everyday discomfort. Master Level 1 is for those who want deeper understanding and better relief.

What’s the format of the session?

Small group sessions (4–6 people), with guided practice and feedback. Private sessions are also available.

How long is one session?

50–120 min (varies by course): brief check-in + guided practice + review, so you leave with clear next steps.

How long is the Basics course?

Basics consists of 2 sessions: 50 min + 90 min.

Do I need any equipment?

No, it is not required for getting started. In the studio, we use two simple tools to help you feel the sensations more clearly.
